Introducing our new Derby Chauffeur hire vehicle, the stunning BMW 730L

A52 Executive Cars & Derby Chauffeurs have taken delivery of our new long wheel base chauffeur vehicle for Derby Airport Transfers, Business travel in derby and Chauffeur Driven Cars in Derby and the surrounding area.

As the world opens up after the pandemic we have seen a huge increase in demand for Chauffeur driven transfers to and from Derby and Derbyshire so we decided now was the right time to invest  in our company and bring a new vehicle on board. On looking at the available avenues that were open to us, namely a new Mercedes S Class, a BMW 730L or an Audi A8l, we composed a short list of what we thought our new vehicle should offer, both to the driver and the passenger and came up with the following list.

Our new car must

• Be long wheel base
• have a light interior
• have reclining rear seats
• have driver safety aids such as heads up display, lane assist etc
• be every bit as luxurious as our current Mercedes S Class
• must be able to offer value for money ( both in terms of purchase cost and affordability to our clients)

Whilst it would have been great to spend £110k on a new Mercedes S Class, they really do look lovely, it was decided that as a small chauffeur company based in Derby that this wasn’t practical. We looked at nearly new S Classes but the current rise in second hand car prices and the fact that we just couldn’t find an S Class with a similar spec to our current one led to us checking out the Audi A8L and the BMW 730L. It has to be said, the Audi was a very nice car but lacked something. From a drivers point of view it was great but it just didn’t have that spark that the others had. So that left us looking at long wheelbase BMW 7 chauffeur vehicles, and boy, we were blown away!

The BMW 730 Ld really has come a long way over the past few years and it is certainly in contention to take the best chauffeur car awards away from the S Class now. It is smooth to drive, has every driver and safety aid on it that you could imagine and the rear is every bit as special as an S Class and in many ways maybe slightly more so. The looks from the outside, as with any car, are always a little marmite but the 7 series really does manage to look imposing without looking dominating.
