It’s 2022 already, so Happy New Year to all of our facebook followers, Clients and trusted associates from all of us at A52 Executive Cars.
Unlike last year, I’ve been kept pretty busy over the festive period but after a late finish in the wee hours of this morning I’ve now got a weekend free before the madness starts again on Monday morning so I thought i’d take this opportunity to do my yearly round up.
With no work in the diary at the beginning of 2021 January started with a surprisingly huge bang after a little post I made on facebook offering to take the local elderly and vulnerable to get their vaccines at Derby Arena for free.
That post was seen by over a quarter of a million people, had over 3k shares, 10k reactions and over 1200 comments and led to over £1k being raised for the NHS Together Charity. And more importantly, getting out and about again and giving back to the local community after what seemed like years of Lockdown really helped with my waining mental health – I don’t think i’d realised just how much i’d missed the random chats to clients in the car and just how much help hearing the voice of somebody other than my immediate family could do.
The Publicity was great to with local radio and newspaper interviews and being blogged about by the mayor helping to raise the profile of my little company. It was a very proud day in July when i received a “beacon of hope” award from the Lord Lieutenant of Derby
Anyway, after 6 months of driving people to their first and second Jabs and as the country started to tentatively come out of lockdown it was time to get back to the day job.
It’s fair to say that as soon as the country came out of all restrictions in July 21 there was a pent up demand for travel to resume and although it’s been a bit up and down with red list countries and new variants of covid the last 6 months of the year gave us more to be thankful of than worry about in terms of how the business was developing.
It was great to be part of some lovely wedding celebrations and amongst the many trips up and down the motorways to airports, cruise terminals, fancy restaurants, cities and staycation locations myself and Steve have found time to join the Guild of Professional Chauffeurs and we have added a rather lovely long wheelbase BMW 7series to the fleet.
So then, What’s happening with the business going forward? If truth be told, I’m not 100% sure. New variant’s of the dreaded lurgy seem to be cropping up all over the place ready to scupper plans but rest assured we will still be here, ready to take you wherever you need to get in luxury comfort and style and if covid allows it we will hopefully have a couple of new drivers on board and a shiny new A52 Executive Cars headquarters.
Sorry it’s been a long post, these usually are lol.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all the likes, shares and comments on facebook we get and thanks to our wonderful regular clients for sticking with us through the past couple of tough years.
Surely things can only get better as we head full throttle into 2022?
Formed in 2010, A52 Executive Cars & Derby Chauffeurs have grown from being a local private hire company to one of the leading suppliers of Chauffeur cars in Derby and Derbyshire.
We are the only chauffeur company in Derby whose principal drivers have passed the strict assessment of and been accepted into the Guild of Professional Chauffeurs. We are fully licensed by both Erewash Borough Council and Derby City Council and our chauffeurs have taken Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications alongside their advanced driving and passenger transport training.
As a local company, A52 Executive Cars & Derby Chauffeurs try to give back to our community whenever we can. During the Covid pandemic, we have helped our elderly neighbors out collecting shopping for them, and running errands free of charge. As the country started the vaccine program we were at the forefront, providing complimentary travel to the people of Derby to and from their vaccine appointments at Derby Arena which lead to us being featured in the local newspaper and being interviewed on radio Derby along with having our social media posts shared around the world. We have also managed to raise over £1000 for the NHS Together Charity since the beginning of the year.
